Construction along Si Wei Boulevard is scheduled to be completed by October 5, 2026, while work in other areas will continue in phases through February 10, 2027.   During the construction period, temporary adjustments to pedestrian walkways, vehicle routes, and building access may be necessary. Faculty, staff, students, and visitors are requested to follow on-site signage and the directions of traffic control personnel, use designated alternative routes, and exercise caution when passing through affected areas.   I. Please use the rear entrance. Main Library Please enter and exit via the accessible ramps or stairways located on either side of the building. Administration Building The second-floor front entrance will be temporarily closed during construction. For accessible access, please use the first-floor driveway entrance. Other stairway entrances around the building will remain open. Information Building Drainage improvement work will first be carried out at the main entrance. Once the drainage channel has been completed and covered, pedestrian access will be restored across the covered area. During construction, please follow all on-site access controls and directions.   II. Phase Three Construction Areas Ba De Avenue and the sidewalk near the side gate adjacent to McDonald's Pavement renewal at the Daonan Literary Wall Open spaces surrounding Ji Ying Building Construction Period December 13, 2026–February 10, 2027 Access and Use Restrictions Ba De Avenue Construction will be carried out in sections, with one side of the roadway closed at a time. The remaining lane will accommodate two-way traffic under the direction of on-site traffic control personnel. To help pedestrians get around the campus safely during the construction period, the attached illustration shows the designated pedestrian routes. Details are as follows: Construction Period: From now until October 5, 2026. Construction Area: Si Wei Boulevard (section from Main Library and College of Commerce to Administration Building and Computer Center, excluding the area in front of the main entrance of Si Wei Hall). Pedestrian Pathways and Fencing Notice:  Yellow dashed lines in the diagram represent the construction fence zone; please do not enter during the construction period. Red solid arrows in the diagram indicate pedestrian pathways. Faculty, staff, students, and visitors are requested to follow the routes shown in the diagram and on-site signage. Accessible pedestrian routes during construction lead to the Main Library, Si Wei Hall, Administration Building, Guo Fu Building, Zhi Xi Building, Information Building, and surrounding areas as shown in the attached map. To maintain safety, please cooperate with on-site access controls and pay attention to construction notices and staff guidance. Fence locations and pedestrian routes are expected to be reviewed and adjusted in early September based on actual construction progress. Any subsequent changes will be announced separately. IV. Phase One, involving the removal of existing busways, is about to begin. During construction, certain areas will experience loud noise, dust, and temporary parking restrictions. Faculty, staff, and students are kindly requested to comply with the relevant control measures to ensure safety. I. Construction Schedule and Scope: (1) August 7, 2026: Dismantling busways from the 12th to 9th floors. (2) August 8, 2026: Dismantling busways from the 8th to 6th floors. (3) August 9, 2026: Dismantling busways from the 5th to 1st floors. II. Construction Impact and Precautions: During the construction period, significant noise and dust will be generated around pipe chases and adjacent areas from B1 to the 12th floor, with potential risks of falling objects. Parking Control: Parking spaces No. 18, 19, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, and 35 in the basement parking lot of the College of Commerce Building will be temporarily unavailable from August 11 to August 18, 2026. 敬愛的教職員生，您們好： 有關綜合院館二樓平台暫時封閉管制說明如下： 一、封閉原因 綜合院館二樓平台原配合「8樓露台遮陽板拆除工程」實施封閉管制。 該拆除作業雖已完成，惟經現場勘查，二樓室外地坪已有老化、破損及雨後濕滑等情形，並影響下方113、114教室，造成漏水情事。為維護師生通行安全，避免滑倒、絆倒等風險，目前仍須暫時維持封條、三角錐等封閉管制措施，尚不宜全面開放通行。 二、辦理時程 本區已納入「綜合院館二樓室外地坪防水改善工程案」辦理，將就地坪防水、鋪面材質及排水等問題一併檢討改善。 本案於115年6月24日第一次開標流標，後續將接續辦理招標作業，預計於115年7月上旬辦理第二次開標，並以115年8月上旬進場施工、115年底前完成改善及重新開放為目標。 三、封閉範圍 封閉範圍為綜合院館二樓平台及周邊區域。實際管制範圍以現場封條、三角錐及告示為準，請師生暫勿進入封閉區域，並改由其他安全動線通行。 施工及管制期間造成不便，敬請見諒，並請配合現場管制措施。 如有相關疑問，請洽總務處營繕組楊先生，分機63094。 總務處 敬啟 1. Reason for the Temporary Closure The second-floor platform in front of the General Building was originally closed to facilitate the 8th-Floor Terrace Sunshade Removal Project. Although the sunshade removal has been completed, a subsequent site inspection revealed that the outdoor flooring has deteriorated and sustained damage. In addition, the surface may become slippery after rainfall, creating potential slip and trip hazards. The deteriorated flooring has also resulted in water leakage affecting Classrooms 113 and 114 located below. To ensure campus safety and prevent accidents, the platform will remain temporarily closed until the necessary repair and improvement works are completed. Therefore, the area is not yet ready to reopen. 2. Improvement Project Schedule The platform has been included in the Waterproofing Improvement Project for the Outdoor Flooring on the Second Floor of the General Building, which will improve the waterproofing, flooring, and drainage systems. The first tender opening on June 24, 2026, was unsuccessful. A second tender opening is scheduled for early July 2026. Subject to successful procurement, construction is expected to begin in early August 2026, with the platform scheduled to reopen by the end of 2026. 3. Closure Area The closure applies to the second-floor platform in front of the General Building and its adjacent areas. The actual restricted area is marked by caution tape, traffic cones, and on-site signage. Faculty, staff, and students are kindly requested to refrain from entering the closed area and to use alternative routes during the closure period.

Due to the construction of the MRT line near the campus, Chunghwa Telecom plans to relocate its telecommunications facilities and NCCU campus telephone lines. II. From June 16 to June 30, 2026, daily between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., one-way traffic control will be implemented on Si Wei Boulevard, Mountain Circle 3, and the road adjacent to the west side of the Computer Center and Lohas Plaza.
