這不是一句口號，而是一個尚未達成的目標。
指南路二段，作為串聯指南山下、景美溪畔與市區的重要通道，是政大師生與在地居民每天往返的生命線。然而，隨著人流與車流日益增長，這條道路的設計早已不敷使用，安全風險也日益增加。
多年來，學生會不斷努力推動改善。我們與市政府、民意代表、在地里長協作，曾爭取到政大正門的無障礙坡道、西側門的彩色行穿線與反光鏡。但你我都知道——我們，還差最後一哩路。
西側門的紅綠燈設置與人行道拓寬工程，雖早有完整規劃，卻因涉及居民生活、公車動線等複雜因素，長年無法實現。這條路，我們曾走到一半，也曾被迫後退。但我們始終沒有放棄。
今年，我們組成「指南路交通改善小組」，再次出發。透過台北市的參與式預算與內政部國土管理署的「街道醫生」全民參與街道改善平台提案，我們聚焦於三大目標：
提升行人安全：拓寬並打造無障礙人行空間
改善公車環境：調整停靠站與動線，解決擁擠與回堵
確保通勤無礙：簡化人行路線，增設交通號誌

Dear Professors and Students,
How many times have you heard the words:
“We need to improve Zhinan Road”?
This isn’t just a slogan—it’s an unfinished mission.
Section 2 of Zhinan Road is a vital corridor connecting the NCCU campus at the foot of Mt. Zhinan with the Jingmei River and surrounding neighborhoods. It is the main route for our students, faculty, and nearby residents. But as both foot and vehicle traffic have increased over time, the road’s outdated design can no longer keep up, and safety risks are growing.
Over the years, the Student Association has worked tirelessly to push for improvements. Through collaboration with city government, elected officials, and local leaders, we’ve secured tangible results: an accessibility ramp at the main entrance and reflective pedestrian crossings near the west gate.
But we all know—we’re still one mile short.
The installation of a traffic light and sidewalk expansion near the west gate has already been fully planned and designed, yet due to the complexity of surrounding residential needs and bus routes, implementation has been delayed for years. We’ve seen progress, and setbacks—but we’ve never stopped.
This year, we’ve established the Zhinan Road Traffic Improvement Team, and we’re moving forward once again. Through Taipei’s Participatory Budgeting and the Ministry of the Interior’s “Dr. Street” Urban Improvement Platform, our proposal focuses on three key goals:
1.Enhancing pedestrian safety: Widen sidewalks and build barrier-free walkways
2.Improving bus flow: Reposition stops and re-route buses to reduce congestion
3.Ensuring smooth commutes: Simplify pedestrian paths and install traffic signals
